The formula to calculate the AC power consumption bill—–

Units per month = kW of Air Conditioner * Daily running hours * 30

Example: 1.5 kW of AC running for 10 hours per day.

= 1.5 * 10 * 30

= 450 Units per month.

Consider the cost of 1 unit as 4 Rs.

3) Expansion Valve: After that expansion valve convert the high pressure hot liquid to low pressure cooled liquid.

4) Evaporation: The low-pressure liquid again passes through an evaporation coil which is inside the Indoor unit(Room). Here it absorbs the heat from the room and transform from liquid to gas again.

1. Dual/Twin Rotary Inverter:

Dual or twin Inverter is the advanced inverter compressor technology compare to single rotary conventional inverter compressor. To get the best result from inverter compressor many companies are started to use two rotary compressors instead on one.  Because of use of two rotary, the shaft of the compressor move easily and smoothly in the cylinder. The dual inverter compressor often comes with more advanced BLDC motor. With the help of these they are able to achieve a much wider range of operating frequency which helps in faster and precise cooling.

How does it work? They both rotary moves inside the compressor cylinder with a phase difference of 180° with each other. Because of that the rotation of the shaft gets smoothly and evenly. This feature used mainly when the room temperature or environment temperature is very high.  That’s why dual inverter ACs is able to achieve variable tonnage. 2) 8-pole Triple Digital Inverter:

To dominate the concept of Dual Inverter compressor, Samsung invented world first 8-pole triple digital inverter technology. This designed is worked smartly and efficiently. It uses less energy and maintains the desired temperature without switching off often. Its Digital Inverter 8-Pole also helps it quickly reach the maximum Hz when it starts the fast cooling mode. Its can even work at 68^oC extreme temperature without consuming high energy. It saves more electricity bill compared to conventional 4-pole inverter. The 8-pole triple digital inverter compressor is operate in less noise level and durability of this inverter I high due to less pressure and friction on rotary and shaft. 3) Scroll/Swing Inverter:

It is a Small Type Large Capacity Inverter Compressor(Daikin).  The size of the compressor motor is as same as 8HP compressor but it releases the power of 12HP. It is uses same casing of 8HP compressor motor. The normal motor is having distributed winding coil end. That’s why it requires more space and even leads to copper loss. But in “concentrated winding motor” is arranging the copper coil in “coil end” in such a way that it requires less space and even less copper loss. It improves the motor efficiency in low rpm range.

 The tensile strength of scroll inside the compressor is 2.4 times higher than the material used in conventional inverter compressor. New material rating is 600mpa and old material rating is 250mpa. As result the wall thickness of the scroll is thinned and the volume of compressor chamber increased 50%. There are two scrolls, one of which is fixed with the base plate and other orbits around it. During the compression, the refrigerant in the input of scroll got more chamber space and the orbiting scroll pushes refrigerant towards the centre. Here the chamber or area of both scroll is squeezed and the refrigerant is get pressurized. After that it discharged the pressurized refrigerant to condenser to do the next process.   

4) Expandable Inverter:

The Hitachi recently launches expandable inverter technology. Expandable inverter ac means- the AC expands its capacity whenever there is an increase in either indoor or outdoor ambient temperature. It gives you desired cooling even in adverse conditions by expanding its cooling capacity and reducing the time for achieving the set temperature. It also helps in cutting down the humidity level inside the room. For instance, if it becomes very hot, a 1.5 ton AC can actually go and work up to the capacity of 1.65 ton or a 2 ton AC can work up to 2.2-ton capacity. It also has a unique Dual Flow Expansion Technology (DFET) which makes it the most energy-efficient air conditioner.

They are less power consuming because of their updated technology. They control the compressor by sensing the room temperature. The compressor runs fast when room temperature is increasing and runs slow when room temperature is decreasing.

When units are undersized the effect is that the unit has to work too hard in order to maintain the right temperature and the cooling coils get too cold and ice up .Once iced up the air cooling  effectiveness is quickly lost as air flow through the coils becomes restricted. For this reason it is important to ensure that the unit is the correct size for the room.
